We have entered the Gate Studios in Wolfsburg together with producers Sascha Paeth and Michael Rodenberg to record our new CD, which is due January 25th 2008. Preceding the full length CD will be a single CD release on October 19th 2007 to give you a first shot of new Brainstorm tunes. Be prepared for a real Brainstorm from head to toe. Recordings are going extremly well so far and we are simply overwhelmed how impressive the new songs sound. These are definitely the best Brainstorm songs that have seen the light of day yet, no kidding, no empty phrases - this is the ultimate Brainstorm album so far. Really can't wait to let you hear!!! Further, our DVD "Honey From The B'S" has entered the Hungarian DVD charts on #18! Nothing short of amazing, I would like to say! After more than 15 years Brainstorm and long time bassplayer Andreas Mailänder have decided to go separate ways. "... Since my working situation is not going to ease up in the long run I won't be able to combine it with the upcoming touring for the new BS release. I'm left with no choice but to leave Brainstorm...". (read more below).The Brainstorm guys are now in search for a new fourstringer to fill the vacant spot. Andy 26.01.2007 · METAL BLADE RECORDS EUROPE WILL RE-ISSUE THE FIRST TWO BRAINSTORM ALBUMS "HUNGRY" AND "UNHOLY" WITH TONS OF BONUS MATERIAL!Both albums will be released the 23rd of March (G/A/S) / 26th of March (Europe). Both albums (2CD double-digipacks) will be available for the price of a regular CD!Here's what Torsten Ihlenfeld (guitar) has to say about the packages as well as the complete tracklisting! "When we played our tour for "Liquid Monster" we realised after a few glasses of wine that in 2007 it would be ten years since the release of our debut album "Hungry". Besides the typical whining around how fast time flies by, etc… we also came up with something creative. Why not re-releasing the debut album as well as it's successor "Unholy"? Both records were not available anymore for quite some time and the timing seemed perfect to us. No new album in 2007, but two re-issues of our first two albums. Of course we didn't just want to re-release the albums in its original version and after searching the archives, we found some really cool bonus material to include. Next up it was clear that we wanted to remaster both albums and even re-mix the "Hungry" album if in anyway possible - and we did!!! This is definitely the best possible sound you can get of the first two Brainstorm albums! Compare it to the originals which are included as a bonus in the very same package(s)." Both albums will as well include renewed front art and booklets! "About the bonus material (remastered as well!) - the "Hungry" album includes our "5th Season" demo from 1994 with six songs and a running time of 30 minutes. 03.11.2006 · VOTE FOR THE DECEMBER 29TH SETLIST!Hi Brainiacs,first off - Bloodstock was a blast! Definitely a very intense and amazing trip - can't wait to come back as soon as possible, so thank you so bloody much for the wonderful return to the UK, dudes! Second - some more Brainstorm shows are coming its way to end an incredible year the way it has to be - live on stage! We will play on the Stormbringer Metal Meeting in Munich on December 28th before we will return to the lovely Matrix in Bochum for the X-mas Metal Meeting on December 29th. This show will mark the last club show for some looong months as we are in the middle of the songwriting process and about to enter the studio in 2007 to record a new Brainstorm CD for you. But more on that in a future news. To make this show even more special, we would like to invite you to vote for your favorite Brainstorm songs and make them part of our setlist that day. The last live show for 2006 will see Brainstorm play at the End of Dayz Festival in Pratteln, Switzerland on December 30th.

This will be the one and only Open Air Show in Germany for 2007, so make sure you don't miss this one. As I write this, we are preparing our stuff for the Bloodstock Festival tomorrow, which will mark the long overdue return to the UK for Brainstorm. Very looking forward to this show, dudes. As this will be the last live show for a couple of weeks we will enjoy this all the more. Hi Brainiacs,I thought I'd share some long overdue Brainstorm news with you. First of all, really hope you all had an amazing festival summer - we for sure had one of the best festival runs ever and after so many wonderful shows during this summer we have almost reached the end of the summer festival season. One more to go - good times always go fast! We had a lot of fun headlining the Römerstein Open Air, the Sägfestival and the lovely Eternity of Rock in Italy and definitely had a blast with all you people at the Rock Hard Festival & the Metal Dayz in Switzerland. We enjoyed the nice Rock Am Härtsfeldsee near our homebase - it really felt like coming home, dudes; we rocked through and on the muddy fields of the Basin Fire Fest in the Czech Republic and for sure had our part of fun at the Earthshaker Fest. Hugs and kisses go out to all 
you people on the Sziget Festival in Hungary - it's always a pleasure to play one of the biggest and nicest festivals in the
world with it's very unique charm and character. You have to go there if you get the chance. Last but not least I for sure don't want to miss to send out a big hello to all you people in Spain and the Metalway Festivals we played end of July. This was without any doubt one of the most intense weekends we had yet. Starting with an amazing show in Gernika, followed by a "Spinal Tap" trip flying via Madrid to the south of Spain with lost instruments, lost luggage, delayed and missed flights
 followed by a late night show in Jerez and last but not least missing luggage and instruments again in Barcelona and back home as well. Rock 'n' Roll!Next is the final festival show for this summer: today, on the Deichbrand Festival in Cuxhaven which we are really looking  forward to and having said that, there's not much left to say than sending out a big "thanks a lot dudes!" for raising the horns

Brainstorm will play the Metal Dayz in Pratteln, Switzerland on August 5th, the Deichbrand Festival in Cuxhafen on August 18th and an exclusive clubshow in the Matrix in Bochum, Germany on the 29th of December. We had an amazing 2006 kick off in Spain at the Atarfe Vega Rock in Atarfe and right now Brainstorm is ready for the first roll of festivals the next coming days, weeks and months. Expect some surprises in the setlist, we dug through the live-catalog over the winter a little and some tracks will scratch the surface that haven't been played in a long time or even have not been played live before. We will also have new merchandise with us on the festivals and we think the new merch really rocks (as did the old, of course!). For all you people in South Europe and especially those that have seen some posted dates in the clubs and online already, there have also been some Brainstorm shows scheduled in Spain, France, Italy and Greece for end of October / beginning of November, which we can not play as well. We feel totally sorry as we would have loved to play the UK together with the mighty Saxon and South Europe again for all you fantastic Brainiacs out there. We will try to re-schedule or set up new shows as soon as possible, keep un surfing by, we'll keep you updated. On a more nicer note, I do not want to forget to mention that the shows in Allersdorf and Frankenthal some days ago have been really cool. We had our part of the fun, and pretty sure, you had yours! Some news from the band:Hello Brainiacs, Some of you have heard already and even more of you have seen it on the last two festivals, Andreas could not join us on the shows in Sweden and Hungary as he had to be abroad for business reasons. A good friend of ours, Mr. Ralf Langer took over the bass duties for those two shows. And he did an amazing job, pictures will be online soon. A big "THANKS!" from the Brainstorm camp to Ralf for helping us out here! We played the "Gates Of Metal" in Sweden with it's wonderful Swedish "charme" of all you Swedish people there and the amazing nature environment; and the "Sziget Festival" in Budapest, which for sure is one of the most, if not even THE most impressing festival we have visited so far. 100.000 people on the Obudai island in Budapest, more than 20 stages with different styles of music and people from all over the world celebrating one big party for more than a week in the beautiful Hungarian summer. It was a pleasure 
playing for you!So, to all of you who have visited us on those two shows, it was good seeing you all again. We for sure had our part of fun and we really hope you had yours! Hi Brainiacs,here's some very cool news in this hot and sweaty time of the year: On July 6th, Metal Blade Japan will release a very special edition of our mighty "Liquid Monster", including a japan bonus track, entitled "Breathe", a bonus DVD containing the "Streets, Stages and Studios" DVD as well as 3 Brainstorm videoclips also incl. the new "All those Words" video-clip. Sounds pretty cool I think! Some news from the live front: We are currently working on some more cool live shows for fall this year, as soon as we have them confirmed we will post them here. On a more personal note, I just wanted to share a cool trip with you: Milan, Dieter and myself visited the Bang Your Head Festival and combined it with a nice ride on our motorbikes through South Germany. All engines are running on full steam and here’s some final news before the monster is ready for take off!Brainstorm shot a video for the song "All Those Words". The clip will be online at www.metalblade.de and www.brainstorm-web.net from Saturday (April, 2nd) on! The video was shot in an old mine in Germany, where the special atmosphere deep inside these mighty mountains was perfectly captured. "All Those Words" video clip! An edited audio-version of the (title) song "Inside The Monster" is already uploaded at the above mentioned websites! 
The band has also announced a special appearance of female singer Carmen Schäfer performing during the song "All Those Words" at their shows in Ludwigsburg (27.04.) and Budapest (30.04.) on the upcoming tour. "Besides these two special performances, all fans can expect amazing shows on the whole tour with tons of light effects and fantastic stage buildings! Be there! As we always promised to bring our own show with us, now you will see what a real Brainstorm show is all about!" says drummer Dieter Bernert. He took his chance perfectly for two songs but then the linguistic barrier thwarted his plans. Also the old-established resident of Hamburg, Piesel (Iron Savior), still couldn't speak any Swabian after two presented songs and so unfortunately he had to bury his dream of a "hut on Sylt"!
